Description: Hi there, I'm Ester from Barcelona, Spain.
I have been working as an official High School Teacher for the last 14 years in Spain (Barcelona) and now, in Wellington, I am devoting my time to translating and to teaching Spanish as a second language.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, a Master's Degree in Pedagogy for High School Teachers and a Master's Degree in Medical and Healthcare Translation.

I am passionate about creating bridges between cultures and about teaching and working with people. I am easy going and although I take teaching very seriously ... I find it very important that my students have fun.
I am currently offering online Spanish lessons. Although many of you might be new to taking lessons online, I can assure you that the tools available these days make it a very realistic experience, just like being face to face. Learning online also saves your time and money for travelling to lessons, and allows you to book lessons at more affordable prices.
The website I use for my lessons online is Convoconnect. On convoconnect students can use this site to view my full biography, view my live schedule, book lessons (the site will take care of all of the payments to me on your behalf), view teacher videos before booking a lesson, and you will be able to view my feedback from other students. Its a good user experience for teachers and students.
You can view my profile here: /users/ester
I can specially design a curriculum that fits your current level and goals, and to find a method that suits the time you have to study at home after the classes and the way you better learn languages, which is different for every student.
If you plan to travel to a Spanish speaking country we can focus on speaking and listening comprehension; if you are sitting an exam we will focus on that; if your goal is to have a general good knowledge of the Spanish language we will focus on grammar and writing. We will use a wide range of techniques such as conversation, question and answer games, reverse translation etc. You will also improve your writing since you will be able to send me your writing for me to correct them.
