Through participating in a biomedical engineering curriculum, I learned to critically think about different subjects and how they relate to each other, which I use to tutor and help students understand. I also aim to instill critical thinking techniques when teaching, allowing students to move away from memorization and towards logical thinking and problem solving, which in turn helps them retain the information and score better on exams.

In this way I try to direct my teaching to each student's learning style and learning rate. I also try to promote good organization and study techniques, which I feel are important in order to focus one's attention and provide for clearer thinking.
