Description: Hi! My name is Tricia. I have a about 5 years of experience tutoring over 80 students from elementary to college age. I'm currently a practicing engineer at a medical device company and tutor in my free time. It's something I truly love to do, there's nothing better than witnessing the "light bulb" moment.

Through participating in a biomedical engineering curriculum, I learned to critically think about different subjects and how they relate to each other, which I use to tutor and help students understand. I also aim to instill critical thinking techniques when teaching, allowing students to move away from memorization and towards logical thinking and problem solving, which in turn helps them retain the information and score better on exams.

When tutoring I try to incorporate a comfortable and fun environment to promote learning. I feel that the more comfortable one is when learning, the more beneficial the lesson will be. Description: I am a certified elementary school teacher and am currently working on my masters in middle school math. I taught for 3 years and have recently been staying home to take care of my children. I currently tutor after school and can provide tutoring services in math for grades k-8. I help with homework, class assignments, and create lessons to help your child in areas that they struggle in with math. I provide half hour or hour tutoring sessions throughout the week. I typically tutor at my home, but we can find a public library to tutor at if that is more convenient.
