Description:
I don't want to clutter you with the many subjects that I CAN teach. I want to tell you about the subject I'm an expert at: SAT and ACT. I help high school students increase their scores so they can get into their schools of choice and get top scholarship money, which saves their parents potentially thousands on the cost of college. I've worked with one of the top tutoring companies in NYC who would charge $400/50minute session. I learned a lot from that experience and want to bring that to you at a much more affordable rate. My scores are ACT: 34/36 SAT: 2400/2400 superscore (My scores helped me get into Duke University, earn a full tuition scholarship to Colgate U and a Full-Ride (Tuition and Room&Board + free laptop) to The College of New Jersey) I've also received 800's on the Math IIc and Physics subject tests, and 11 perfect scores on Advanced Placement Exams, so I'm a test taking pro. In addition to this, I integrate valuable life lessons rarely taught or even mentioned in primary school and college that help students become more successful and balanced people in the real world. My students continually come back to me and thank me for showing them these quick and simple tools in stress management and productivity. I call it the Holistic Approach or Whole-Person Centered Tutoring. Get a FREE SAT & ACT consultation and learn why these tests offer the easiest way for juniors to get into college and the easiest way to get top scholarships! TRY ME RISK-FREE, too! If the student doesn't learn anything or doesn't feel I'm a good fit, you don't have to pay me! I'm physically based in Rochester, NY but with Skype have been tutoring online for the past year without a hitch. Learn more about the advantages of online tutoring.

Description:
Are you struggling with the ACT or SAT, or are you looking for a bit of a boost on your scores to gain an edge with college admissions? In that case, I believe I can help you out: I'm Katarina, a high school senior who scored both a 36 on my ACT and 2400 on my SAT in 2014. Only a handful of students in the entire nation accomplish a perfect score on both tests each year, but practicing specific strategies and keeping in mind certain tips can dramatically improve performance. As a student who recently took these tests, I understand the typical problems high school students encounter on these tests and how to resolve them. Scoring highly on the ACT or SAT doesn't reflect inherent intelligence or makes one a child prodigy: it simply demonstrates how good one is at taking the ACT and SAT, and I believe anyone can do well with the correct approach. Proof of scores can be provided upon request. A complimentary "tips" packet will be provided with the first tutoring session. I can also provide advice on how the two tests compare and which one you or your child should take- contrary to popular belief, the ACT and SAT are not equivalent at all, and each suits different types of students better. I have practice tests and prep books that the tutee and I can use, but I can also work with books that you bring yourself if you prefer them. Please contact me with any questions or additional information about locations and pricing.

Description:
St Charles based Learning Ascent Corporation was founded in 2002 to offer better tutoring solutions. Our tutors have helped hundreds of students in St Charles and nearby communities. We make it easy for busy parents to find custom, professional tutoring for their children. Your child can immediately get the chance to succeed that she deserves. Learning Ascent professionals know and work with local school district curricula. Familiarity with the curriculum allows tutors to identify and correct the root of problems. We can even help your child to better comprehend and complete homework assignments. Big tutoring chains place students into "canned" systems to make tutoring easy for the tutors. Parents must pay for expensive diagnostic tests that are only necessary to "place" or "fit" the student into their existing system. The systems do not integrate with local school curriculum's and the student winds up with more work–over and above normal school work.
